Not Listening

Answered a call, scared the heck out of me, forgot my phone was not on silent. It was this woman I met at a networking group few weeks ago, super nice lady, she wanted to schedule some zoom meeting with me after the tax deadline, I said sure, whatever wasn’t really listening because I was in the middle of something. I have no idea what she actually does or what the zoom is about. Fast Forward to the actual zoom meeting, omg, it was a pyramid scheme, do I have sucker written on my forehead of something? I seriously don’t remember her talking about that at the networking meeting, then again I can’t hear out of one ear and generally those things bore me to death, so I might have missed it or just tuned it out.

Seriously have got to stop doing that, answering phone calls and not listening to people.

I did that we a client recently and he texted to confirm that he was still scheduled for this week for everything we talked about, ugh, wtf did we talk about? It was a two hour conversation about random things, I do remember telling him to call the law office for advice and then getting off the phone and thinking I should text you and tell you sorry in advance for telling him to call you but got sidetracked and forgot and I’m not sure you even want to hear from me anyways.

Why does everyone call me for legal advice anyways? Seriously, I have to google what they are asking about, can they not figure out how to use the internet to look up what they are asking. Too bad I can’t charge what you charge to answer people’s questions. Maybe I should try law school again, wish I could circumvent the law school part and just have a mentor instead  🙂
